A Malaysian at Heart
What does it mean to be a Malaysian?
Being Malaysian to me is being a part of a united whole that opposes racial discrimination. A part of a family where each one of its members are so different yet alike as they are susceptible to diverse cultures. Through the years, I have become as much of a Malay and Indian as I am a chinese. I've fasted with my Malay friends during Puasa Month and am able to speak a little Tamil. (Sydney helped me with this part :) )
But what do I love most about Malaysia ?
Many Malaysians would agree with me that it is the diverse cultures that makes Malaysia unique. Malaysians cannot deny that our homeland is indeed the best place to explore a variety of culture and the yummiest finger-lickin, lip smacking food !
Be it Hor Fun in Ipoh, or Char kuey teow in Penang, Kajang Satay in KL, Malaysia has it all !
And where else but the night market, being the best place to get food =D
Night Market
Chicken on Sticks ! @ Satay
The Infamous Lok Lok
People selling Corn
Variety of Fried stuff
Char Kuey Teow !
And to cool down with
Yummy Lin Chee Kang =D A sweet chinese dessert
And how can you miss, the king of fruits ? :) The aroma which either drives you crazy up the wall or makes you hunger for more =D
Taken at a Durian Plantation in Seremban
Yummy :)
Some of these pictures have been used in my Communications Technology Photography Assignment to showcase the Malaysian Culture and when most of us came up with pictures of food, food and more food, this proves that Malaysia is the right place to go for fooood !
